ChocaL8kiss is a full-service bakery located in Manalapan, New Jersey. We take pride in employing certified pastry chefs who have graduated from some of the top culinary schools in the nation. Our combined immense knowledge in baking and pastry allows us to create delicious custom cakes and desserts from scratch, making our products both visually appetizing and satisfying.

Sonam Sondhi, a graduate of the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America, is the Owner and Executive Pastry Chef of ChocaL8kiss Bakery. Sonam has had the honor of being trained and mentored under Chef Thadeous Dubois, former Pastry Chef of The White House and Exec. Pastry Chef of the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. Sonam later accepted the position of A La Carte Pastry Chef at the prestigious Manor in West Orange, NJ before opening ChocaL8kiss. Through trials, tribulations, and no formal business training, Sonam founded the bakery at the young age of 21, in 2008. Sonam’s mantra for her business has always been “Create – Dream – Inspire” which she instills through her work and leadership style.
Amanda Caden, a graduate of The Culinary Education Center’s Culinary and Pastry Arts Programs is the Assistant Pastry Chef of ChocaL8kiss Bakery. Amanda has been an integral part of the team since May of 2012, when she started as a baker. She quickly developed her skills and worked through each department until she advanced into her current position as Assistant Pastry Chef and Lead Cake Decorator. Her passion is to turn your vision into reality; Amanda’s expertise includes client relations, fondant application, sugar-work, edible sculptures, artisan cake decorations and chocolate art. Amanda thanks her parents for encouraging creativity and developing her love for cuisine.
Ciarra Roberts, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America has been a part of the ChocaL8kiss team since January of 2017. Since beginning her career here at the bakery, Ciarra has continued to enhance her skills while training on the many different positions and roles that the business has to offer. Her responsibilities have grown from working on dessert bars, customer service, production, baking, icing and more. She is an essential part of the team with her beaming personality and smile you will never forget. Ciarra has a strong knowledge of Pastry Arts and uses her natural creativity to create many of the delicious products you’ll find at ChocaL8kiss! Her favorite parts of working at the bakery are her fellow coworkers who inspire her to work harder every day.
After graduating The Culinary Institute of America in November of 2018, Jaime Aubain joined the ChocaL8kiss team and immediately dove into the arduous task of Production Baker. Currently, she is the backbone of all production, which includes baking all orders, building and assembling the custom cakes, and making all fillings and batters necessary on a daily basis. Although she is still new to working in the culinary industry, Jaime aspires to grow and learn the skills and techniques necessary to become a custom cake decorator. Jaime would like to thank her dad for inspiring her to pursue her culinary dreams and her family for all their love and support.
Catherine Peña, a graduate of The Culinary Arts Program with a focus in Nutritional Sciences from MCC began her journey at ChocaL8kiss in September of 2016. Using her knowledge in Baking and Pastry Arts, she assists in creating our Dessert Experiences but is truly a vital part of the team. Able to lend a hand in every department, she has trained in all aspects of the business and continues to expand her pastry knowledge, while contributing to the nutritional values, healthier protein shake and dessert options at the bakery.
